I spent three comfortable and productive weeks at Hummingbird House, concentrating on finishing my novel with zero distractions in a completely beautiful, creative environment. I really appreciated the variety of places around the property where I could settle down to write, both outside in several spots on the terrace and also inside at the desk, couch or kitchen. The quiet and solitude of the gorgeous mountain and desert views contributed to a truly inspiring setting. I don’t think I’ve ever been as happy writing as in this spectacular Santa Fe retreat!

Nebula Award winning author Kelly Robson

What an incredible place for a retreat. Hummingbird House is a lovely casita with everything I needed to be comfortable during a week of intensive work on my novel. Santa Fe is my favorite place in the world, and the casita offers stunning, private views of the landscape and sky. When I didn’t want privacy, I could arrange to meet with Jeffe, an extraordinarily accomplished and successful author, for advice on my work and career. Santa Fe itself was only a short drive away, if I needed a break, with it’s amazing restaurants, shopping, and museums. Green chile, anyone? I’m so grateful for this chance to focus on my writing and come away with Jeffe’s insights into the publishing industry and tips on improving my craft. Thank you, Jeffe, I’ll be back!

Jeffe’s insightful advice helped me put my effort where it was needed most. Two and a half years later, and I have two series of three books each in print . . . and once again she’s been awesome with marketing advice!

I have never, in the over eleven years since I sold my first book, been this consistently productive. My stress levels are way down and I’m truly enjoying writing again. I look forward to it every day! Jeffe has a way of getting you to do your best while making the experience fun and productive. Her positive energy is liquid gold, and even though I want to keep her all to myself, I highly recommend working with her. She’s simply the best!

Working with Jeffe has been transformative. She’s helped me refine my writing process so that I’m working toward my goals more consistently and with far greater satisfaction with my own efforts. Her insights on agenting, the publishing process, and pretty much everything that comes after I type “the end” on a final draft are invaluable. The best part? My imposter syndrome has all but vanished! She took me seriously from the get-go and I’ve had so much fun learning from her, I forgot to doubt myself.

Alexia Chantel, Author

Jeffe has been a much appreciated mentor to me since my earliest days as a published author and she’s the first person I turn to for advice when confronted with a new situation in my career. Jeffe brings a wide breadth of experience to any discussion about books, writing and related career issues but the most significant aspect of consulting with her is that she excels at drawing out what the person talking to her truly hopes to accomplish. She then uses her skills and background to help the individual refine what is going to work for them to achieve their goal. She encourages out of the box thinking with without advocating a cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all approach. She’s an excellent role model in today’s complex publishing environment.

USA Today Best Selling author Veronica Scott

In an hour coaching time with Jeffe, she updated me on trends in the genre and sub-genre I am writing in, offered other ways I might position my work, suggested some actions to increase interest and income with my writing, and made suggestions about other authors that might serve as comps for my work. She also gave me a few suggestions for agents to consider and, because I want to reach new audiences for my writing and for my workshops, gave me suggestions of half a dozen writers’ conferences I could check out. She was generous and informative about my concerns regarding my career as an author. A wonderful, helpful resource.
